The Echoes of al-Andalus
This issue is devoted to the rich intellectual, cultural, and spiritual legacy of al-Andalus. Far beyond a geographical space or a historical period, al-Andalus represents a civilizational experience shaped by scholarship, philosophy, literature, art, music, and intercultural encounters. The volume ranges from the reason–revelation debate in Ibn Rushd and the mystical thought of Ibn al-ʿArabī and Ibn Barrajān to Aljamiado literature, Andalusian tafsīr, the music Ziryāb carried from Baghdad to Córdoba, the daily life of the peninsula's communities, and the long aftermath of the Reconquista.
